Energy Programs
For Your Business
From small storefronts to large manufacturing facilities, the right energy efficiency measures can make any size business more productive, efficient and competitive. Here are some of the programs available through the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund. As described under each program, eligibility may depend on whether your electric distribution utility is Connecticut Light & Power (CL&P) or The United Illuminating Company (UI).
Energy Conscious Blueprint
For customers planning new buildings, remodeling or large renovation projects, this program can reduce capital and operating costs by helping evaluate energy–saving upgrades during the early planning stages.
Express Services
Through rebates, customers are encouraged to replace motors and heating/cooling equipment with newer equipment that provides the same—or sometimes better—service and comfort while lowering energy use. The rebates are fixed amounts, provided on a per–unit basis. They are paid directly to customers after they install pre–designated measures using qualified, licensed contractors.
PRIME
For commercial & industrial customers with an average monthly peak demand of 350 kW to 1500 kW, CL&P offers the PRIME Audit, which provides an initial, no–cost, facility walk–through assessment with a comprehensive productivity audit, and, if necessary, a Focused Study.
Existing Buildings
Energy-Saving Opportunities for Lighting, HVAC, Refrigeration, Motors, O&M and More
This program can reduce operating costs and improve the energy efficiency of your existing facility. By retrofitting your lighting, heating, air conditioning, ventilation and process systems with the most energy–efficient equipment possible, we’ll help you replace inefficient equipment, upgrade your facility’s overall performance and improve energy management practices.
Small Business Energy Advantage
Specially designed for small business customers, this program provides turnkey, energy–saving products and services. There are no up–front customer costs, and there are incentives for retrofit lighting measures and other eligible energy–efficiency measures. There is also a zero–percent financing option for qualified customers. Eligibility is dependent on whether your electric distribution utility is CL&P or UI.
